HDUM hosted a technical seminar on Hong Kong Flag State Inspection on April 20, 2021, presided by Mr. Benny Li Chunle, Managing Director, HDUM. The objective of the seminar was to introduce recent updates on FSQC instruction and checklist; the code of conduct to be followed by surveyors during on-site survey and how to enhance effective communication between HKMD and on-site surveyors. The most common deficiencies/ defects in ships found during FSQC & PSC inspection and major causes for detentions were also discussed. The Officials from Hong Kong Marine Department including General Manager, Ship Registration and Quality Branch HKMD, Regional Head (Shanghai) HKMD, HDUM surveyors, and other officers actively participated in the seminar.
